Day at the park...

Olivia had her first play date at the park yesterday. We met 4 other moms there with their kids. It was a beautiful day, but Olivia's mom forgot her sun hat so they had to stay in the shade. :( She had a great time and was actually very well behaved. She was a little tired, but not cranky and enjoyed looking around and watching the other babies. At one time, she was laying on the blanket next to Baby J and ALMOST rolled over from her tummy to her back. She was so close, but couldn't quite get over the hump that her other arm was making. I am thinking it will happen soon though.

After the park, we went with my mom to Babies R Us to get some supplies and a gift for another baby. She was still wonderful on the drive there and all through the store. I actually fed her at the store before leaving in case we got caught in rush hour. Well, no rush hour traffic, but Olivia had decided that she had been pleasant long enough and let us have it the whole way home! 

Once we got home, I fed her again to calm her down and she was fine. We went upstairs around 7:45 to start our bedtime routine because she was getting a little feisty. She had her bath and her story and then ate really well. I put her down at 9:00 with the radio (Z88.3, no hair dryer) and she slept until 4:00! I fed her, put her back down at 5:00 and she is still sleeping now at 7:20! Yea, Olivia!!!

Another good night...

Well, we had another great night last night. It started off a little rough though. Blake and Dani came by to eat dinner with us and visit Olivia. However, Olivia had not napped since early in the morning and was VERY tired and cranky. I took her upstairs at about 8:00 to start her bedtime routine. After the bath, story, and final feeding I put her down around 8:50. She was not happy because she was so tired - she didn't really eat much and just refused to fall asleep. I told myself to wait until 9:30 to go get her. So she cried from 8:50-9:30! At 9:30, I picked her up and tried feeding her again. This time she ate a little better and I put her back down at 10. This time no crying. Yea! At 10:55 though I hear her crying again. I go get her and feed her again and put her back down at 11:30...and she slept until 6:30!!!! AND from 11:30-6:30 it was without the hair dryer!! Yea Olivia!

Today is our play date at the park so pray that my cute, happy Olivia shows up and not her twin, still cute, but cranky Olivia. :)

Shopping

My mom arrived Saturday for a visit. Sunday we went to Robin's flag football game and then yesterday we went outlet shopping. Olivia was very good. She got a little fussy a couple of times because she preferred shopping in Nana's arms rather than in her stroller...she could see the clothes better that way. :)

We were able to get our Easter dresses, a St. Patrick's Day dress for Livi, and we also got her a sun hat for future football games. I will post pictures soon of her in her new hat. Too cute!

We are laying low today and hopefully getting some chores done around the house. And then tomorrow we are meeting Olivia's friends for a playdate in the park. Check back for pictures.

Dare to dream...

Well, Saturday and Sunday nights Olivia was back to her regular schedule of only waking up once. And she even woke up smiling and happy. Then, last night, she went down at 10:00 and did not wake up until 5:45!! I know it could be a fluke, but I am so hopeful that this will turn into a new routine. :) I of course was in her room checking on her at 3:30, again at 4:00, and yet again at 4:40.

What happened??

This is Olivia sleeping when she was a couple of weeks old. Always with her arms over her head and nothing could wake her up. The last month, we've been sleeping together in our guest bed and she was going down around 10 and waking up only once at 3:30 to eat. As my last post said, starting Valentine's Day Olivia started sleeping in her crib (with the hair dryer going). She'd go down around 9 and still wake up to eat around 3:30. But then last night, Olivia decided to throw us a curve ball. She went down around 9:15 and woke up at 12:30. She ate and went back down around 1:10, but woke up again at 1:30. Again, I fed her and put her back down at 2:15 only to have her wake up at 5:20. Fed her again, put her down at 6 and at 7:15 - awake again.
I am hoping that this is some kind of growth spurt because she ate a full meal every time she woke up. I was really getting used to only waking up once!

3 Months!!

Olivia is now 3 months old (still learning how to do this so you have to scroll down for her Valentine picture). Again, I am amazed by how quickly time flies. She turned 3 months on Valentine's Day. We spent the day making cupcakes for dad and taking pictures.

The past couple of weeks, she has been on an anti-nap kick, but on this day she napped several times which was very nice for me because we had friends coming over for dinner and I had lots of cleaning to catch up on and cooking to do.

She got a little fussy after dinner so I took her upstairs to feed her while our friends were still here. I fed her and put her in her crib so that I could continue visiting with everyone. She went in her crib around 9:40 and didn't wake up until 3:30!!! I fed her and put her down again around 4:30 and she slept until 8!

So now, for the last 5 nights she has been sleeping in her crib and I am back in my bed - praise the Lord! We are both much happier in the mornings now. :) Of course, I should clarify that a hair dryer has to continuously run near her crib for her to do this, but still...
